Before Viewing
Once the viewing is scheduled by Relocify, we will add it to your dashboard. You will receive a notification as soon as we add it.
Later we will add the following information about the viewing under the discussion section:
- Full address, including the floor
- Agency’s phone number: Generally, you will ring the intercom and enter the apartment without calling anyone. In case you can’t find the apartment or there is no one at an agreed time please use this number to contact the agent but try to call only when it’s time as they will be busy with welcoming other people at the viewing as well. For eg. if you arrived earlier the agent might not be there or might have other showings.
- Additional details: If there is something important you need to be aware of, we will inform you about it before the viewing.

💡 Some viewings are conducted like an open house, others have an individual timeslot assigned for each person visiting. Most viewings will be with an individual timeslot. It’s important to be on time so that the viewing doesn’t clash with someone else.

❗ Always mention to the agent that the viewing has been booked via Relocify and that we made the appointment, as not mentioning it can lead to confusion with offers.

Please check the following details with the agent while you are at the viewing:
- Contract type: check if it’s type A (min 1 year and then prolonged indefinitely), B (max 24 months - for students mostly), or C (Diplomatic clause, with fixed duration). If they tell the length instead (e.g. 12 months or max 24 months), you can always ask us what it means
- Contract starting date: From when the apartment is available, from when they want it to be rented out
- Deposit: It’s either 1 or 2 months’ rent, so check exactly how much it is
- Service costs: ask if there are any additional service costs or if it's included in the rent. Especially if it’s a new building with an elevator, there are almost always service costs, so double-check the total monthly rent price
- Window glazing: ask if windows are single or double glazed but also check on your own each window in the apartment as agents sometimes give the wrong information
- Furniture: If apartment is furnished, you can ask if everything you see in the apartment will stay, do not assume that everything will remain.
- Offer deadline & process : At the end of the viewing always ask for the offer deadline so you know how quickly you have to decide.
